Red Ginger

One fascinating fact about red ginger (Alpinia purpurata) is that while it’s commonly known for its strikingly vibrant red flowers, it’s not actually a true ginger in the botanical sense. 

Red ginger is native to Indonesia. In addition to its stunning appearance, red ginger is also utilized in traditional medicine in some cultures for its purported medicinal properties, including as a treatment for various ailments like stomach issues and inflammation.

Curcuma

Temulawak, scientifically known as Curcuma xanthorrhiza, is a plant native to Indonesia and a member of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae.
